Ugh!

It's sorta IBM-1047 based; certain to displease partisans of 037 and 500.

And it supports "13 variant ASCII graphic characters (occupy varying
code positions)",  probably including the "squirrely" characters.  It
adds complexity and solves hardly anything.

It has not been widely accepted.
