It is unlikely the problem come from dirty fiber. The problem regards
two channels, we also changed the cable for one of them.
These might be silly questions but-
1. Is the installed FOS Release on DCX a Ficon Supported and Certified
Release?.
2. Is the z13 FICON Express16s CHPID attached to one DCX with the TARGET CU on
a different DCX ? - possible High Integrity Fabric setup issue?
These are not silly questions, rather mandatory or "first to ask" :-)
1. FOS 7.4.2.a It is both FICON-qualified and IBM-recommended (from
among qualified).
2. Yes, it is cascaded connection. I'm trying to find out what knob is
wrong causing the failure of "high intergrity".
Further detail: the opposite connection is working fine.
