Specifying a processor identification number with the Cpuid operand is an
option. See z/VM CP Planning and Administration.

That alone may work for you depending on how your specific software checks the
processor identification number if at all.

Otherwise automatic grace periods and self-generated codes are possible, but
more than likely codes will need to be vendor supplied for any processor or
specific host processor.

Kevin

Subject: Doing DR on zVM

Hi Experts,

I would like to get your opinion on performing DR using zVM(z/OS guest) instead
of using a Native LPARS running on z hardware.

We are monoplex shop(just one production LPAR and one Sandbox) and does
performing DR on zVM saves any cost in terms of licensing ?

Peter
