This may be an issue with storage increments. Depending on z/OS level, hardware model, and amount of physical memory installed, the minimum storage increment can vary. You can specify any amount you choose, but it may get rounded off to the nearest increment boundary. There is not necessarily any message to that effect, but results can be unexpected. Check LPAR memory assignment on the HMC as well as D M=STOR.
