Most likely it is EQUALS that might cause this type of  issue.  Did you run
to see if the installation defaults match on both machines?

If you want DFSORT team to diagnose the issue, then please code //SORTDIAG
DD DUMMY on both jobs and re-run the jobs and send me the complete job
output.  (am on vacation , so the response might be delayed)

I also want to see the installation defaults on both machines. You can run
the following job to list the installation defaults

//STEP0100 EXEC PGM=ICETOOL
//TOOLMSG   DD SYSOUT=*
//DFSMSG    DD SYSOUT=*
//OUT       DD SYSOUT=*
//TOOLIN    DD *
