If I remember correctly, and this may not be correct,

The UCB you see identified in the message is the range in the IO Gen that might 
fit your needs.

It is looking for a PRIVATE volume and not finding one.  So it says, is one of 
these UCBs the one you want.

So can you display the A3 UCBs and see if they would be what is needed?
