I need to be able to reverse engineer the allocation of cataloged DSORG=PS data sets by looking at the DSCBs and catalog.
To be specific, I would like to generate BPXWDYN allocation keywords for an existing cataloged DSORG=PS data set to that I can use allocate a new data set LIKE() it on another system. Are there examples in CBT of code that do similar analysis of DASD datasets? Even something that does a good job at deducing SPACE=(unit,(pri,sec)) is not as simple as one might think.
