Using IEASYMU2 is fine. I suspect that most would not use "routinely" to express the desirability of IBM providing a symbol for "yesterday". I have not seen a requirement for such a thing (this would be a "dynamic symbol" rather than a "static symbol"). FWIW, at this point, compatibility would be a concern with adding any symbol that does not begin with "SYS".
So Sean's implementation of a symbol for his own site makes sense.
