I would guess your USSTAB (USSMSG10) screen need to be updated to support the
SUBSYS parameter.
The assembled USSTAB in use can be found in the TELNET parms or VTAMLST.

The source code is another matter.

Subject: Running JES2 under JES3 and logon to TSO under JES2

To all,

I am working on uncharted area for me and looking for some help. We are
testing JES2, for eventual conversion from JES3. We have JES2 running under
JES3, but are failing to get a logon to TSO under JES2. We are running ACF2.

- LOGON APPLID(TSO) SUBSYS(JES2)

o Error message "SUBSYS PARAMETER EXTRANEOUS"

Not sure about configuration for TSO, VTAM or ACF2 to allow or exactly which
product is causing this message.

Any help would be great. And yes, we know running JES2 under JES3 on the same
LPAR is not idea, but it is what we have.

Thanks,
Jerry Edgington
