I'd assume "no" (the "subtle difference" is not one that causes enough grief to warrant the cost). A different approach to that question is whether the documentation properly differentiates between "reason" on the abend and "value in R15" on the abend. I suspect that some does and some does not. By the way, for CALLRTM TYPE=ABTERM, the reason is not in R15.
