I still think that the z is the most robust and reliable platform out there. But I am not convinced that a "ground zero" analysis would regard it as cost effective. Perhaps I'll put my money on the RISC-V processor -- completely open, cost free to use their ISA. None of the "hidden" instructions like the z has. Oh, well, I am staring retirement/death in the face waiting to see who blinks first. -- I find television very educational.
