Radoslaw, Have you mistyped there? I really don't think PDSE is 40 years old. That would mean it was around in 1979. In 1979 we were still working on a 16MB system. We did not even have cross memory services, that came in with MVS/SP 1.2.
I joined IBM in 1996 and worked in the support centre for a while. We were dealing with early problems with PDSE then. So I think PDSE may be older than 25 years. Or have I misunderstood? PDSE is almost 40 years old, AFAIK and many features of it is still secret, not in use, etc. Note, it's not discussion about source code, it is about really basic features.
