There is no file type in the PC world, other than OS/2 extended attributes. There is a file extension, but that's really part of the name. I wish that someone would port WPS to Linux.

How the heck do you save your edited changes back to the z/OS side for the PDS member which you edited? 2. What is the difference between the menu commands "Pull from mainframe" versus "Copy dataset"? 3. Since file type on the PC side can determine which language extension should be used, is there a way of setting the file type other than, after copying/pulling from the mainframe, renaming the file? I mean, if I have a PDS with 100 members of a specific language, this has to be done for every member from what I understand at the moment. Is there a better way? Thanks. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For IBM-MAIN subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO IBM-MAIN
