I would assume that you're running z/OS on z/VM and that RDR1 is assigned to a
virtual card reader. If so, check the console log for the virtual machine to
see the incoming SPOOL files.

Subject: Probably really dumb JES2 rdr question

I am trying to understand where some jobs are coming from. When I look in
the log I see

$HASP100 JOB1 ON RDR1

Which I take that the JCL is coming thru RDR(1).

I can display RDR(1), but that doesn't help me. How is the JCL getting to
RDR(1)?

Is this use of the RDRCHAR to get the JCL processed instead of using INTRDR?

It may be that this knowledge either never existed in my brain, or fell out
along the way,
