There is a field set by NVAS in the (CINIT?) that passes the IP address. Other 
session managers may do likewise.

I should have also said that the LUNAME in the tn3270E protocol doesn’t 
necessarily have any relation to the VTAM LU identifier used for the session, 
although I believe you could configure it to map them somehow.
