We had a number of "crirical" obsolete (unsupported) vendor products which dod "chain chasing" to find those control blocks. I have changed a lot of programs which used to chain chase to get things such as the Jobname and JES jobid to usethe IAZXJSAB macro now. I'm now a bit out of date, but I wish there were a GUPI easy to sequential get all the DD names currently allocated to a step. I don't know how to find things which are in the XTIOT. Possibly someone will point this out to me, should it exist. But when the z/OS system goes away, I will simply retire and likely not bother looking at another z/OS system again. > > > -- > Shmuel (Seymour J.)
