ObForeverAmber AFAIK the 3178 was IBM's last green screen. Even then you had 
fields that you could click on with a detector pen; later 3270 models added 
additional facilities.

Or is everybody using p.c / mac  /  (linux ?) based IBM "developer" software

I had installed the software at one time, don't remember the name
(java based ?),
