Well, that was fun...
For reasons which remain a mystery to both me, and to U. of Arkansas'
LISTSERV administrator, many of you had your subscription options
(digest, nomail, etc...) reset to the default when we migrated VMESA-L
to IBMVM yesterday afternoon.
As nearly as I can tell, it must be one of those ill-fated Ides of March
phenomena:
Remember March, the Ides of March remember.
Did not great Julius bleed for justice’ sake?
What villain touched his body, that did stab
And not for justice?
(William Shakespeare - Brutus, in Julius Caesar, act 4, sc. 3, l. 18-21.)
The next time it becomes necessary to fiddle with the list, I'll try to
pick a less ill-starred day to do so.
But I digress.
For those of you that need to reset subscription options, I encourage
you to use the web interface. If you're not already familiar with this
procedure, direct your web browser to this URL:
http://listserv.uark.edu/scripts/wa.exe
- Select "Subscriber's Corner"
- Select "Log In"
If you haven't already established a LISTSERV password on
listserv.uark.edu, please follow the "get a new LISTSERV password" link
on the Log In page.
Once logged in, select the IBMVM List; on the resulting web page, you
will be able to update your subscription options as desired.
If you prefer to use the e-mail interface, please remember to direct
commands to [EMAIL PROTECTED] rather than the list e-mail
address, [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Kind regards,
Daniel P. Martin - IBMVM List Janitor
