Hi,
We use ESAWRITE for collect the monitor data.
We
connect the esawrite on the the segment MONDCSS. We collect the monitor data on
the disk
ESAWRITEPARMS = 'DISK * * E (PARM LOCAL'
For
the switch at minight
SWITCH
= 'SWCONFIG'
After
we put the monitor data on a tape, for use in MXG 23.07 (on the z/OS system)
We
user ESAWRITE for avoid to have 2 collectors.
Bests
regards,

and MXG
Jeff,
Sir
Rob began contacting me about 30 or so minutes ago in an effort to help. I've
already sent him some details, including that our ESAMAP is at 3.4.2.7, and
then a cut/paste of the first few records in today's ESASYS HISTORY file (see
below). I think that with Rob on the job, you've got the right guy
working on it.
Pip-pip,
Cheerio, and all that rot! :-)

Thanks
Mike - that makes it more likely, "something silly" at this end.
Yes, I meant the HISTORY file (we actually ship
the, "daily" HISTORY file
that ESAMAP builds from the HISTORY file created
by ESAWRITE - the one
with the date as the filetype). We use NETDATA to
pack the file and ship
it via RSCS rather than go via tape but otherwise
we're doing similar
things.
Our ESAWRITE / ESAMAP (as shown in the header of
the HISTORY records) is
at 3.5.2.5 and our MXG is at 23.05. I'd be
interested in knowing your
ESAWRITE / ESAMAP level.
Suggest we now take this off-list as it looks like
a, "minority interest
topic" and I'll post a conclusion once one's
achieved.
Regards
Jeff
