Thanks for the suggestion, but it won't work for us.  VM:Backup uses DES
encryption.  The DES standard is not approved for use within our
company.  Our Information Security people want AES, Triple DES, or a
couple of the other more modern algorithms.  Encryption in VM:Backup
also doesn't help customers who need to encrypt VM:Spool, SPXTAPE,
DB2/VM, VM:Backup HiDRO, DDR, or other backups that don't use VM:Backup.

Hello Dennis,
VM:Archiver is using VM:Backup to do the real backup to tape.
VM:Backup has ENCRYPTION built in.
Just add your key to an execption file.
