I assume you are referring to VM:Backup making a PRIMARY copy and a TWIN copy of each/some backup.  I would need more information ... but generally, yes ... there are many shops doing what I think you want to do.  (You may need to implement VM:Tape COMMAND and/or ALLOCATE EXITs to assist with this chore.)

Steve, when we do nightly backups, we currently create two tapes, one for onsight the other for offsight.  This is done with some feature of
VM:Tape, twinning, mirroring, something like that.  Anyway, is there a way we can tell VM:Tape to put the offsite tapes into the I/O station
on the 3494 so the operator just has to open the I/O station and pull the tapes out?
If VM:Tape can't do that, is there a way, programmatically, to accomplish this?
