The last several of them that I had, neither IBM nor VSSI could find enough information in the 8 or 9 dumps dumps to diagnose the problem. In all cases, the deferred work count for the hung user was 2, but they could find no work units associated with the VMDBK. In a case like this, it is a crap shoot. If you destroy the VMDBK and something does end, your system will do the IPL for you. It is better to leave it alone and plan for the outage to be taken when it is more convenient for you.
