Title: 7171

If it is continuously/immediately powering back off, you likely have a defective power supply (it’s doing what it’s supposed to do to protect the rest of the hardware) or a broken switch. If it’s mechanical failure of the switch, you could bridge around it, but that’s kinda ugly. If it’s the power supply, then you’re probably beyond hope.

Check the switch first. If that’s not it, and if you don’t have any spares left, I’d say it’s probably time to give it last rites.

Too bad – the 7171 is a well-designed device. They make lovely storage cabinets 8-).

Our 7171 has one interface left.  And maybe after today, it will be gone.

Is there a reset switch inside the 7171 that if you pop breaker that will

Allow the 7171 to be powered back on?
