At one time, I had a Maintenance/Test system (running second level), two
first level systems on machines I could reach via RSCS, and three systems

that I had to use tapes to carry the updated backups of the maintenance
disks. The updates were loaded to ONE set of minidisks. These minidisks w
ere
copied via tape to ONE set of minidisks in the set of three systems. With
in
that set of three RSCS provided transport of updated files. Some of the
systems had special products and each of those had to be installed on the

ONE system that required it.

But the basic philosophy was install it once, use multiple control files
to
customize creation of updated files and only move the files that are nece
ssary.
