My TAPEMAP MODULE, 3.066, with a date of 1994 and I don't know if that's an actual date or not, at least reads 3480's. I have not had occasion to try to read 3590's on it. I can't swear to the length numbers, but it seems to understand the data as far as what kind of files it sees.

David is right.  TAPEMAP is great.
