LOL.  I don't think I'd use mainframe core tech as the basis for a new 
chip.  Well, you could, but the chip would be about 6 feet tall and 3 feet 
wide.  I speculate that the "magnetoresistive" (that word is sooo cool) 
part is about the only thing in common.  I.e. the theory.  But I wouldn't 
be surprised if they *did* study m/f core array designs and math.

But still, there's nothing new under the sun:  The X-Men were 
magnetoresistive long before MRAM.
