Don’t worry about that message. It
relates to some issues back in the early 1990s with real 3380s and 3390s and
timing stuff when connecting them to newer, faster controllers. Filler records
haven’t been required on real DASD for almost 15 years. David Boyes Sine Nomine Associates From: Hello
Everyone, I
appreciate everyone’s patience with me on this problem. I
have been getting the message HCPCLS174E
Paging I/O error; IPL failed whenever I IPL from a cuu. The
message has been explained very well but I am still trying to find out what
happened. These
volumes have not been formatted or touch for years per the old system person. We
have changed from the MP3000 with V=R/V=F/V=F on the three main VSE/ESA
systems. TO a
Z890 with all V=V. Plus we now have 2gig of Xstore defined to the z890. I
do have a question about CPFORMAT and the ICK03024I message below. Is
the ICK3024I message correct or should there be a filler as these are suppose
to be CPFORMATED? CPVOL LIST UNIT(123) VERIFY(430RES)
