Assunto: z/VM paging problem

Hello Everyone,

I appreciate everyone’s patience with me on this problem.

I have been getting the message

HCPCLS174E Paging I/O error; IPL failed     whenever I IPL from a cuu.

The message has been explained very well but I am still trying to find out what happened.

These volumes have not been formatted or touch for years per the old system person.

We have changed from the MP3000 with V=R/V=F/V=F on the three main VSE/ESA systems.

TO    a Z890 with all V=V.  Plus we now have 2gig of Xstore defined to the z890.

I do have a question about CPFORMAT and the ICK03024I message below.

Is the ICK3024I message correct or should there be a filler as these are suppose to be CPFORMATED?
