Yesterday, IBM released an new Redbook entitled: "Introduction to the
New Mainframe: z/OS Basics"

I've downloaded and taken a quick look at it and it seems to be a very
good introduction to the mainframe in general and z/OS in particular for
non-mainframe technical types. It covers such topics as z/OS overview,
TSO/E, USS, JCL, JES, application programming, WebSphere, and SMP/E.
It would be nice, imho, if IBM was to produce a similar Redbook for
z/VM. I would be willing to contribute to it........
