A while ago there was a discussion about SPXTAPE increasing the number
of reserved DUMP pages when you do a SPXTAPE dump or load.  This
may be the reason why you ran out of spool space.  One way around this
is to SET DUMP OFF before you do the SPXTAPE and then back to on
using SET DUMP DASD after the load/dump of spool files is done.

However, I suspect you must have been using a high percentage of your spool
to begin with.
