It is true that NetView requires VSAM. That's where it stores the SENSE database, help, and logs. As to support, it means that if you find a NetView defect, they'll fix it. This isn't a new concept. RSCS is supported on a variety of no-longer-supported VM releases. Even when running on an unsupported level of VM, you can still get RSCS fixed. If you find a defect in *VSAM* after the EOS date, then it will remain there forever. And just in case anyone hasn't gone through end-of-service before, I should point out that you must continue to pay the monthly license charge (MLC) as long as you use the product, even after the EOS date.
