You can save all of the DCSS files using DCCSBKUP/DCSSRSAV. You cannot sa ve CMS or GCS. As part of my disaster recovery process, I have a service virtual machine which does NOTHING but IPL 190 PARM SAVESYS CMS. There is
one for each backlevel CMS I have to have. I also have on MAINT 191, the last GCS build file. This is punched to to MAINT's reader and IPLed in or der to build a new GCS. ALL other DCSS files are restored from the minidisk savearea. My serve to backup the DCSSes runs every night just after midnight. I also autolog it whenever I make a DCSS change. One of these d ays I will have to add in some file aging logic to rotate old files before I save the latest copy. We do not restore RDR, PRT or PUN files at the hotsite so at this last DR exercise (Aug 22-24) I did not use that SPXTAPE dumptape I had in the tap e box. I may produce it one more time for the next DR exercise, but I don't think I will do it after that. /Tom Kern /301-903-2211 On Thu, 7 Sep 2006 14:13:29 -0600, Lee Stewart <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: >Hi...
