We have some crypto HW (z9-109):
q crypto ap
AP 00 CEX2C Queue 09 is installed
AP 01 CEX2C Queue 09 is installed
AP 02 CEX2C Queue 09 is installed
AP 03 CEX2C Queue 09 is installed
AP 04 CEX2C Queue 09 is installed
AP 05 CEX2C Queue 09 is installed
AP 06 CEX2C Queue 09 is installed
AP 07 CEX2C Queue 09 is installed
Ready; T=0.01/0.01 13:00:57
2 of these are changing to type CEX2A so that it will look like this
(one of the other systems here)
q crypto ap
AP 00 CEX2C Queue 06 is superseded by CEX2A
AP 01 CEX2C Queue 06 is superseded by CEX2A
AP 02 CEX2C Queue 06 is superseded by CEX2A
AP 03 CEX2C Queue 06 is superseded by CEX2A
AP 04 CEX2C Queue 06 is superseded by CEX2A
AP 05 CEX2C Queue 06 is superseded by CEX2A
AP 06 CEX2A Queue 06 is installed
AP 07 CEX2A Queue 06 is installed
Ready; T=0.01/0.01 11:02:19
HW guys say they can do without a POR or taking systems down.
My question, will VM require an IPL when this happens in order to use
new SSL accelerator CEX2A type?
