This is what I tried first too and started looking at the HMC where the very old "Display/alter Storage" panel was hidden on a modern system (z9). No luck .... Since the LPAR days, the HMC reports wait states in some exceptions report named: "hardware messages" Kris, IBM Belgium, VM customer support
