SPOOLCHN is great for diagnosing problems in spool and for determining which spool files have blocks allocated on a given pack. It does take a long time to run on a spool system that has 10 packs and over 10,000 spool files. It is not stand-alone. There is another package, I forget its name, on the IBM VM Download page that it needs.
