Yeah, but if they decided to go that way, you can bet that z/OS and z/VM would stop running on Hercules immediately - something would be built into the OCO IBM version to authenticate and license it. Which would leave Herc exactly where it is a today - a super cool place to run historical OS's and Linux. :)
