Thank-you everyone. I had been using the ACCOUNT data but it has limitations i.e. only eight positions. I like the DIRMAINT 'tag' approach. It is almost 'unlimited' and relativly easy to use and secure. The only drawback that jumps out at me is that DIRMAINT needs to be running, although it always should be.
