If you are doing only CMS mini disks, I have some REXX utilities
that I run in service machines that I would be willing to share.
They read a control file for a list of user's to back up and create
a tape file that looks something like this:
MYUSER 191 A
Tape mark
.... files from MYUSER's 191 .....
Tape mark
MYCMS 191 A
Tape mark
.... files from MYCMS's 191 .....
Tape mark
What you can do for restore then is to
VMFPLC2 SCAN MYCMS 191 (EOT
And it will position the tape to the proper spot. Nothing really
fancy but the price is right!
