MY 4.3 VM (64 bit) behaves as reported if I 'define stor 16E' ( says your machine does not support that much storage etc etc) ... My 4.3 VM (32 bit) does not recognise the E suffix. ( I guess PETA or EXA makes no sense in a 32 bit world!) I think that's were the difference is, not whethere it is VM 4.4 or 5.x
