Some sites are not shy about announcing their exploitation of zSeries Linux, but others I have found (e.g., state and local governments)do not want the publicity and actively discourage it. > My reason for asking is I am working on trying to convince > the management here that we could > save tons of money by consolidating a lot of the easier > workloads (ie- print servers) to zSeries > Linux. Certain groups within IBM are trying very hard to get the word out about the success of zSeries Linux and z/VM, but over-all, imho, IBM has done a poor job of marketing this amazing technology. The current IBM "You're Special" with the red cloth draped "something" TV commercials are a case in point, I believe.....I can't even figure out what, exactly IBM is trying to sell me, a service, a solution, hardware, what...? I just don't get it. Good luck. DJ > Thanks, > Paul Adrian. > > >
