I have one lpar for the 390 processor. I would like a second lpar on the 390 side. Currently the 390 processor is dedicated to that lpar.
I changed the profile for that lpar to not dedicate the 390 processor. Well, reactivating the 390 lpar is obviously an outage. But is there some dynamic way to change the lpar from a dedicated processor to a non-dedicated processor. Obviously, I don't want to have an outage. Worse case, I can come in on a weekend and reactivate the LPAR. Just trying to find a more dynamic way of doing this. IBM z/890 Thanks Tom Duerbusch THD Consulting
