Being able to write one copy of data local and asynchronously write it to a
remote site sounds like a good extension to the VM Magic/ESA product. It might
not be available for z/VM but it already has a good handle on intercepting a
virtual machine's dasd i/o and doing something special with it. Adding a branch
in that pipeline and a receptor at the remote site could be a fun project.
