If it looks like you have the CA VM:Tape version of DMSTVI MODULE
accessed, then issue a QUERY TVICALL to make sure you don't have TVICALL
set to OFF ...

Subject: EOV and next volume



Greetings all (and congrats to the latest knights) 

        I have been chasing a problem since yesterday that has me a bit
baffled. User has an EXEC that does a couple FILEDEFs and a MOVEFILE.
The file is extremely large and exceeds the tape volume. I've seen
evidence that in previous cases the tape would write an EOV record and
execute a VMTAPE MOUNT ( PREVCUU 181 with other parms. Tape gets swapped
and VMTAPE chains the volumes. Nice.

        It suddenly stopped working. I'm having trouble locating where
the code was that prevents the MOVEFILE from ending badly at the EOV and
does the process.

        Anybody out there doing this that might give me a hint where to
look?? What file I might be looking for?
