Ed,
You might be best served at this point by consulting the
administrators for the mail relay hosts in your aultman.com network. I
suspect you have specific hosts set up for DNS and relay functions. If
you have to use IPMAILERADDR you might have to remove the NSINTERADDR
parm from your TCPIP DATA file accessed by the SMTP server (if it's
defined).

Hello Denny,

        Thanks for the reply.

I can ping very well. (inside that is).

At the moment if I user IPMAILERADDRESS 10.0.0.17 I
can

send files to non AULTMAN.COM networks but not to AULTMAN.COM ids.

IN SMTP CONFIG

IPMAILERADDRESS 10.0.0.17

sendfile profile exec a [EMAIL PROTECTED] ( smtp subj 'test1'
fails

AULTVM53.AULTMAN.COM unable to deliver following mail to recipient(s):

    <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

550 Host 'aultman.com' Unknown

sendfile profile exec a [EMAIL PROTECTED] (smtp subj 'test1'
works

IN SMTP CONFIG

IPMAILERADDRESS ALL 10.0.0.17

sendfile profile exec a [EMAIL PROTECTED] ( smtp subj 'test1'
works

sendfile profile exec a [EMAIL PROTECTED] (smtp subj 'test1'
fails

but for a different reason.

AULTVM53.AULTMAN.COM unable to deliver following mail to recipient(s):

    <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

AULTVM53.AULTMAN.COM received negative reply:

550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I suspect it is because of the AUTLVM53 name.

I really need to read the Planning manual over again.
