Perhaps someone else has better doc than I've found, but we use:

Once you have registered, logon and go to:
https://powerlink.emc.com/nsepn/webapps/btg548664833igtcuup4826/km/appmanager/km/secureDesktop

It's always a struggle for me to find the "right" manual. Perhaps because
out hardware folks don't tell me the models we use.

Usually all I want is an explanation for messages that appear on the
OPERATOR console, such as:

 HCPERP403I rdev SCU SERVICE ALERT, MT=dddd-CC SER=0000-0000000
 HCPERP403I REFCODE=cod1-cod2-cod3
or
 HCPERP403I REFCODE=cod1-cod2-cod3 ID=id VOLSER=volser
 HCPERP403I CCHH=X'cccc hhhh' REPEATED
I just want to look up the "REFCODE" so that I can update our "HCP403
EXEC" that is called by VM:Operator when we see any HCPxxx403x message. It
appends the message with an explanation of what the heck the REFCODE
*means* for operators and sysprogs.

Finding and then understanding the doc for those is daunting; enough to
make me wish we used IBM DA$D (but I don't budget for DASD).

EMC DASD

Of those shops that are running EMC dasd, are there online manuals
available?

On the IBM side, IBM will tell you everything in the world about their
DSxxxx products. But I can't find anything about the EMC dasd subsystems
on the EMC site.

One of my clients has an EMC box. With the change of system programmers,
the knowledge of the box was lost. EMC has been working with us for the
past 3 months trying to discover what hardware we have and how it is
configured. 3 MONTHS!

Thanks
