z/VM by itself is not exposed to this problem. However, guests of z/VM which exploit Conditional SSKE, such as the releases of z/OS which Richar d listed, could trigger the problem.
Rick Barlow's post made reference to Crypto usage and ICSF. I'm not awar e of any connection between Conditional SSKE and Crypto. As far as I know, C-SSKE is exploited by z/OS Real Storage Management in general, whether o r not Crypto is in use. Damian Osisek z/VM Development IBM Endicott
