Do you have all z/VM LE service applied? There have been some problems in
the past with
z/VM LE and DB/2. One such fix is

      APAR: VM63885
      PTF: UM31625
Description: VAGEN Z/VM 4.4 LE U4036-02 ACCESSING DB2 UDB ON LINUX
      SERVER

I believe there are also some DB/2 PTFs which may correct some problems in
this area as well.
Unfortunately, I do not have a list of those APARs/PTFs.

Please make certain you have the lastest z/VM LE 0702RSU applied and the
SCEE and SCEEX
segments resaved. If the problem persists, you should open a PMR and we
can treat this as a
new problem.

Thanks!

Hi list,

We are having a problem on a COBOL/VM application attacking a DB2/Linux
database scenario at a certain point. It doesn't occur constantly but still
it's a situation we must fix.

ARI0717I Start SQLINIT EXEC: 11/26/07 14:31:00 MAI.

ARI6042I Warning: Application server LNXGES has not been

generated on this processor. Ignore this

message if the server has been defined as a

         global resource on another processor.

ARI0320I The default server name is LNXGES.

ARI0796I End SQLINIT EXEC: 11/26/07 14:31:00 MAI

We really can't imagine what the cause of it could be. I have found out
that
this machine is the only one with 32M defined in the VM directory. I have
equaled it to the rest of the machines (the rest don't get this message) at
64M just in case that this might help. Yet I'm not very confident in this
solution.

Could anybody help, please ?

Thanks in advance,
