I am home, and it's late, but AFAIR you need to connect one of each, to each other. one standard CNC, connected to a CTC.
Do you have your control units and CUADD values all correct? (Oh, and of course you do need a real escon cable between two channels) ;-) I have never done it dynamically, so I can't really help there. Sorry.
