Hello Listers, my customer is sunsetting a 9221-200 with a bank of 9343's emulating 20 3390's. I can think of 3 ways to erase the data from the DASDs:
1) using ICKDSF to TRKFMT them with ERASEDATA parameter; (yeah... very time consuming and CPOWN packs - 4 of them - will be using standalone ICKDSF...) 2) borrow a very power industrial grade magnet (must protect the other recording devices in the computer room. Ummm...); 3) use a 10-LB slug hammer (very quick but messy). Do you guys have better suggesions? Thanks a lot in advance. ...Roland
