CP TERM MORE 0 0
CP TERM HOLDING OFF
CP TERM BRKKEY NONE
CP TERM LINEND OFF
CP SET RUN ON
and gettting rid of the hcp/vmcp command will protect a Linux console from
getting into CP READ due to user action and will keep the guest running.
But to what end? These settings are really incompatible with a linemode
console where you can't scroll back & forth, not to mention the loss of
functionality.

The *VMEVENT service (5.3) can be used to know when a guest has stopped
running, so you can try sending the guest a BEGIN command if you don't see
the guest restart within whatever interval you find acceptable. Kind of
interesting when you use it with class C SEND, which works even if someone
is logged on.
"Now I press PA1 and... HEY! STOP THAT! I don't WANT to BEGIN! STOP
IT, I say!"
